In the vicinity of Šylerzovice there is a chateau whose construction began as early as the 16th century. In the 18th century, the building passed into the hands of Johann Friedrich von Eichendorff, who decided to build a new palace and park. In 1844, the estate was acquired by the Jewish banker Salomon Mayer von Rothschild, who decided to carry out a redevelopment in neo-Baroque style. The park included a hunting lodge, restaurant, orangery, greenhouses, caretaker's cottages, dairy and stables.
