In the vicinity of Šylerzovice there is a chateau whose construction began as early as the 16th century. In the 18th century, the building passed into the hands of Johann Friedrich von Eichendorff, who decided to build a new palace and park. In 1844, the estate was acquired by the Jewish banker Salomon Mayer von Rothschild, who decided to carry out a redevelopment in neo-Baroque style. The park included a hunting lodge, restaurant, orangery, greenhouses, caretaker's cottages, dairy and stables.

In front of the chateau in Šlerzovice is the impressive Boar Gate, consisting of two sculptures carved in stone - the Boar Hunt and the Deer Hunt. The gate was placed on the brick pillars of a bridge that passes over one of the tributaries of Lake Evelina. It is not only a beautiful decoration of the entrance to the palace grounds, but also an element related to the history of hunting and the tradition of wild game, which was a popular hunting target in the past.
The entrance to the chateau in Šlerzovice is adorned by the majestic Ostrava Gate, made of wrought iron, which inspires admiration in visitors. Its brick pillars impress as an example of careful craftsmanship, and the graphite decoration combined with gilding and colourful polychromy betray the high quality of workmanship. The gate dates from 1716 and is an important piece of palace architecture that attracts the attention of tourists from all over the world.
