The 27-metre-high observation tower is located in the NATURA2000 area Border Meanders of the Oder River. It offers a magnificent view of the Oder River meander and the unique fauna and flora found in the area. It was built in 2017 as part of Polish-Czech cross-border cooperation. From its top, there is a beautiful view of the winding bed of the Oder River and the picturesque landscapes of the Oder Border Meanders - a protected natural area that offers great opportunities for walks and bike rides. The tower in Zabełków is 27 metres high, and its narrow staircase leads to several viewing terraces from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of the area.

Although it takes some effort to climb to the top, the view from the top is well worth it. The tower is open to the public most of the year, except during the winter months, and entry is free. It is one of the many attractions offered by the Upper Oderland.

To get to the viewing tower on the meanders of the Oder River in Zabełków, use the path that stretches along the river and offers beautiful scenery. This route starts in Chałupki, where you can use the free car park and start the walk to the tower, which is about 3.5 km long. Alternatively, you can set off from Zabełków, where there is a much shorter path of around 700 metres. It is possible to move a pram on the path, but the tower itself is not wheelchair accessible.

The viewing tower in Zabełków is 27 metres high and offers a magnificent view of the Oder River and its picturesque surroundings. The tower project is part of the Silesianka trail, which includes a total of 34 lookout points on both sides of the Czech-Polish border. As part of this trail, visitors can visit, among others, the castle tower in Tworków, the tower in Pogrzebień near Racibórz, the viewing platform in the Arboretum of the Moravian Gate in Racibórz and the tower in Pietrowice Wielkie next to the graduation tower. Free parking and picnic shelters are available at the entrance points to the path, making it easier to use the attractions.

"Construction of a viewing tower on the Meanders of the Oder River in Chałupki" is a task carried out as part of the project "The Oder and Olše rivers closer to tourists and borderland residents", co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the INTERREG V - A Cooperation Programme Czech Republic - Poland 2014-2020.
