In the vicinity of the village of Roszków, in the Racibórz area, there is an impressive artificial reservoir of 50 hectares, called Roszków Bobrowy. It was created as a result of sand and gravel extraction in the 1980s. According to local anglers, the reservoir is up to 12 metres deep, although in most places it oscillates around 4 metres. There are two islands in the middle of the reservoir and the water hides numerous hills, fallen trees, interesting falls and shallows, as well as beautiful fauna and flora.
The reservoir is separated from the buildings by a dike that stretches all the way to Krzyżanowice. The Oder River flows not far (about 1 km) from the village and is separated from the reservoir by a high earth embankment. A small stream also flows near the village, which flows into the Roszków Bobrowy reservoir. This reservoir is part of the larger Racibórz Dolny flood control system within the Buków polder.
Roszków is a village whose history dates back to the 13th century. However, it was not until 1507 that it appears in documents under the name of Roszków, when Prince Valentin allowed the sale of beer and booze in Roszków and Krzyżanowice. In the following century, a small watermill operated in the village, which carried out fish farming. Part of the land belonged to the landed estate in Nowy Dwór with an area of 254 ha. In 1784 there were 17 farmers, 12 homesteaders and 2 cottagers living in Roszkowo. A school was built in 1869 and a chapel in 1883.
