The Upper Oder Centre is a facility with exhibitions and exhibits on the history and fauna and flora of the Upper Oder River Basin. Exhibitions and multimedia displays bring tourists closer to the natural wealth of the Oder River and the Oder Border Meanders. The centre was built in the building of the former border crossing Chałupki - Bogumin.
As part of the project "Ecotourism - Tourist Attractions of the Upper Oder River Basin", which received funding from the European Regional Development Fund under the Interreg V - A Czech Republic - Poland Programme 2014 - 2020", the building of the former border crossing in Chałupki on Boguminska Street was transformed into the Upper Oder Centre, which is a multimedia museum dedicated to the fauna and flora of the Oder River and the Border Meanders of the Oder River on both the Polish and Czech sides. The centre includes a multimedia exhibition, a visitor centre and a library.
The Czech partner, the City of Bohumin, has created tourist infrastructure at Vyrbice Reservoir and has planted eco-malls on its surface - places that will be home to birds. They will enable them to nest in safety and allow tourists to admire their life.
